Well, Becky did request stories...so here goes.

Like most of us, we got hooked on muscle cars at and early age. I was no exception. As a kid, I had a huge collection of matchbox cars and would play for hours, lost in my imagination and dreams of one day owning one. At 9, my parents got divorsed and my mother raised me (the oldest), my sister and two younger brothers. At 16, I was allowed to get my license, I had actually been driving since 15. We were only allowed to see Dad on the weekends and I knew he was the one to help me get my first car. My pitch was for a '71 AMC Javelin 304c.i. auto. I had saved up, Dad said yes and that was it. I bought a '73 AMX replica. Well life went on and I met my highschool sweetheart. We married after graduation, had two boys and life force me to sell the muscle and get the station wagon, followed by several other family oriented vehicles. I was able to get an '81 Camaro Berlinetta from my brother after he hit a dear and couldn't afford to fix it. I restored its nose, but then we wanted a house and once again, it had to go. Now the boys are all grown up, my youngest son finishes college in 4 months and my loving wife of 25+ years said lets get a camaro. Believe my surprise at that statement

, so I said lets go shopping tomorrow and at the end of January we brought home the leftover 2011 SS. I found Camaro5, went to a bunch of gatherings and enjoyed the hell out of that car. A few weeks ago, we experienced the oil leak issue

and my buddy Al (Fairnot LZ1) told me a ZL1 was on the dealership floor. After looking it over and getting the nod from wifey

, we did the deal.

The SS was traded in and the ZL1 found it's first home. The pictures previously posted, were the idea of my good friend and fellow ZL1 owner, Al. He was just as excited for me and I was getting it, so much so, when he heard I got it, he took the rest of the day off of work and we took our cars up to a park in Vernon, CT for some photos. Spring cannot come soon enough! Hope you enjoyed the story. And lets hear your stories.

Picked up my ZL1 Vert this last Wed. Wasn't planning on it but the dealer hit me up saying my order didn't get picked up but they did just get a nice looking one in on a trade with another dealer. I wasn't thinking about the Blue Ray Metallic, but once the wife and I saw the color in person it was sold. Hope to get some pics of it soon.
