Have you ever seen the inside of a door panel? Those wires don't have a whole lot of play in them. If they told you they can get the door to move out that far without modifying the wiring, they lied. Which would raise reliability issues for me. But it doesn't, because I would never do anything this asinine.

Those would never work for me. I'd be slamming them into the concrete ceiling in the parking garage at work.

At least you'll be different mytoys. If you like it, who cares what everyone else thinks.

I actually like it. May help door dinging as the doors on the C5 open so wide.

I swear I don't have time to read this now, but lets keep this respectable. If you don't like it and have a Valid reason as to why, then by all means, speak. But worthless posts will be deleted when I get off work.

I was at the shop while they were doing the prototype of the Camaro and they did not "CUT" the factory wires they had to re-route the wiring harness inside the door but it's just a matter of removing a couple of clips and relocating them. you only need a extra couple of inches to make it work.
I had the doors on my 2005 charger for 3-1/2 year and I had no problems yet....

Just to add a bit to what OP said. The wires have plenty of slack in the door panel and in the body itself. It wont be an issue. And even it if it were, a first year electronics tech should be able to solder an extension in there. Not a big deal. It is an easy install. I did Both my LXes in the driveway. It took about 4 hour for each car. BTW it was an easy four hours too. (drinks and eats)

One more thing these are NOT LAMBO DOOR!! The are VERTICAL Doors. There is a huge difference.
Lambo door belong on Lambos. Verts can go on anything. JMO
Yeah, good last point. When I think about it more, the doors wouldn't function if they didn't index, you'd have to push the window and everything, so that should have given me my answer without even thinking about it. Thanks for answering.
To OP: Don't let these people shoot you down for doing it. It will look sweet.

I don't see why there's so much hate on these... Some people think these look bad, some people think that the silver grill, which some people are obsessed with, is ugly.

I used to want to have a car with lambo doors back when I was a kid... but now not so much. I saw another mustang with them and huge chrome rims and it just looked they were trying too hard lol but it looks alright on the camaro
