Didn't have to cut anything. They fit right up to my 2.5in catback exhaust. I have not heard of anyone having to cut anything with these headers.

If I installed these headers with high flow cats and then left the rest stock what effect would it have on my LS3? Would I still get the HP gains? I'm thinking it just wouldn't be as loud.

I have these, fit and sound great, Glad I went with them. Put over 12k miles on them with no issue, typical discolor from heat/use but I did not wrap/coat mine and its a daily driver.

The headers and catted connections alone would net you about 25-30rwhp, as well as some better sound! The catback on these cars is not terribly restrictive!

The (stock) cats are where the restrictions for the most part start and stop.

This is also one of the things I am considering. If you do go that route, please post comments and a video about how it sounds. I also don't want my car to sound too loud and would like no drone whatsoever. The other thing I'm considering is these headers with HFCs and stock catback exhaust with muffler delete, but I'm afraid it might be too loud and produce some drone.

I'm also buying TSP's LT's to install on my 1LE w/ NPP exhaust, along with there CAI and mail order tune possibly. Bought my 441 LS7 engine parts for my GTO from Aaron. He respended to emails even during off hours. Great company to deal with!!
