I don't think he's nuts, probably an ex-northerner.

here in the north, we put the top down every chance we get.

I've heard the factory wind restrictor helps. Anyone have one and care to comment?
Wind restrictor probably cuts the wind by 50% or more. It's really pretty impressive. I would put the top down in the 60ish range and I wouldn't do that without the wind restrictor.

I haven't reached a limit yet.. But low 40s even with the sun out is pushing it for me.

When it snows in South Florida, then it's top up weather.

55 is about the low end ! Already had snow in New England but then again I have had the top down since then. Windrestrictor does help a lot ! Functional as well as a great look !

I grew up with winters in Chicago, Montreal, and Anchorage, so what has most Tucsonan's huddling up and lighting their fireplaces is a beautiful summer day to me. Biggest issue here is leaving the top up in summer so you don't roast like a pig on a spit.
The only time my s/o get's a say in if the top goes down or not is if my daughter is in the car. Otherwise she's very nervous around the camaro after the time she opened the door and hit a another car in a parking lot and got yelled at... Now she won't even roll down the window without asking permission

I will say there's a special spot in my heart for the days after it snows but the roads are clear and it's in the mid 30's - 40's I get the urge to put the top down and cruse.

Just got home from a little top down drive. It was 55 when I left, I had on a light jacket and a cap. With the heat on medium and the fan on 4, it was very comfortable at 50 mph. When I got home it was 61, and I had turned off the heat. I have no wind restrictor either.

As long as it's sunny and dry I'll put the top down and drive down Highway 1 to Big Sur (remember the 1969 Big Sur Folk Festival at Esalen?) on a weekend regardless of outside air temperature.

About 50 is my limit...a little higher if my girlfriend is with me. I refuse to drive with the top down and windows up...this is my 4th convertible and I have never done that...that is why I got the 2LT...heated seats! All of my convertibles have had heated seats! Those are key!

Generally, above 55 is comfortable during the winter months. Summers in Las Vegas can get HOT! Top goes down when the sun goes down.
