I haven't had a chance to "undress" her yet. Haha. Heritage grille, GMax Tires, and Hurst shifter getting installed on Monday. Take her home on Tuesday.

Looks good jason.

A buddy from Texas came over today and hasn't got to see my camaro yet so we went out to the garage and I took off the cover a little bit. Looked great, he was impressed and loved the lights in the engine bay. But after a minute to two the moisture from the fog started showing some water spots on my car and it made it look nasty. Urg, wish I didn't see that.

Afterburner tail lights

Got my afterburner tail lights installed last night, what a pain in the butt trying to wire them up. I'm really happy with the results! I will be getting allot of parts delivered this week, such as my painted engine cover and strut brace, new cross drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads. Still waiting on my AAC mirrors, side marker lights and plug from Ofer for my ABL lighting. So much to do, just not enough time to do everything.

This warm weather makes it hard to stay in the garage doing all those mods!!

Engine cover

The UPS truck made another stop here at the house tonight, I got the engine cover and strut brace delivered from River City Creations (Lupe), got them installed and they look amazing! The pics really don't do them justice. I can hardly wait to get all the other carbon fiber parts delivered for the engine bay. My brake rotors are going to be delivered on Thursday, I will schedule to get them swapped out on Friday. I will take some before and after pics.

Here is the dyno run: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200091118590313

The folks at Karl's performance were great. They worked with me and allowed me to be very hands on with the process, and the even afforded 100% access to the entire shop. It turned out to be a good thing that I went through the dyno tune, as the car was detonating horribly at over 4000 rpms. It was losing power and torque horribly. As they looked at the initial dyno run, it was evident that the Edelbrock canned tune was doing more damage then good. I was told flat out that the engine would have failed had I kept the tune as it was. Ryan and I sat down and discussed what I wanted, a conservative tune that was not on the ragged edge of failure all the time. They made a total of 13 runs - 12 of these to make the necessary changes to the spark tables and keep the car out of detonation and knock. They were VERY open with every step of the process and I found it freaking scary as all hell that I was standing behind and next to my car as it was accelerating to 165 miles per hour on the dyno (yep - we hit that number more than once leading to a very surprised operator!! "Umm, did you know the speed limiter was turned off on your car?" Me: "I do now!" I will say that I have a new respect for the stainless works exhaust on my car - HOLY BUCKETS is that sucker loud when on the power band. I literally had to tell myself that the unholy scream emenating from the back of my car was not out to hurt me and force myself to stand there. It was really cool/scary/freaky. Now, I know you are all going to ask so I will tell you: My 7 hours and 13 runs on the dyno ran me $530.70. Worth it? Yeah, it feels better behind the wheel and I get that push back in the seat I want...now I want more of it. Final results: 410 horses became 460.4 and made 450.1 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheels. The fact that it is a four wheel resistance dyno it shows the true numbers on the ground. And let's face it: It is just good old fashioned fun! I was in testosterone heaven for the day. New Corvettes being rebodied over here, a 70 Chevelle custom over there - a stunning 63 Impalla with an LS3 in it, and some beautiful work all around. Props to the guy in the new ZL1 with 9 miles on it that has already gutted the motor on his way to a Lingenfelter 750 package. Add to that the engine dyno that I was playing with and watching them test racing motors on and I was in overload. I will post up photos to the Iowa Camaro site of Facebook tomorrow. Left my tablet at the office that has the photos on it.

Overpar: That is the way the engine cover SHOULD have looked from the factory - beautiful touch!

Jason: Congrats on that beautiful '13! Cannot wait to see it polished up!

Nice Scott. Did they say if they can tune out AFM? Sounds like they know what they are doing. I only want a person I can trust to tune mine.

My car never had AFM...it fell off somewhere between Oshawa and the time I took delivery of my car at Tom Henry Chevrolet :emoticon7:

The Edelbrock E-force tune turns the AFM off

Scott, ya have a new beast on your hands, and sounds (literally) great! And yes, my $.02 vote is it is very worth it, with the supercharger mod you have, to get her dialed in for max performance -is priceless!

I'm getting excited also for my 67, with the past 3-4 years just "by the butt" tuning and etc, looking forward to reaching the potential I hope this Camaro has.

So a buddy of mine ("was" one of prior owners of Duffy's) just took delivery of a anniversary edition ZR1 Corvette, (another to his very large collection of cars). Said reason to buy it, the last year of the 427 LS for the Vettes, with now announced new LS motor for the C7 series.

Does one wonder if the 427 LS motor could find its way into a future Camaro? Then return of prior and desired Z28 or new future something, like a SST??

I better read the opening threads before jumping first onto the Iowa section with some "what if" thinking.... just read after posting prior message the possible 6gen Camaro with Turbo 4 cylinder on the smaller Alpha chassis.
