I know they are capable of making a great car but over the years I've heard to much for me to ever trust them with something of my own. I had one of the first Hennessey 650R Vipers. It was awesome and it did have a stroker. It was used in the MotorTrend test in March of '98. At that time it was the fastest street legal car in the world according to Motor Trend. I have a 2010 Camaro Hennessey 600 and a 2012 ZL1 Camaro 700 Hennessey package and they are both awesome cars. Wouldn't trust anyone but Hennessey to work on my cars.

The thread on the 300C forums is just insane to me. If that was him that posted all that. I have know way of knowing but so many lines were crossed it is crazy.

I honestly can't say whether they are good or bad, but based on the work I've seen in this forum from Lingenfelter, Livernois, ADM, JRE and a host of others I don't think that Hennessey can justify their prices. I got a quote from them for their 650HP package and with any of the other companies I mentioned above I could have easily got 750HP or better for the same price. With Hennessey you buy $5,000 worth of upgrades and $5,000 worth of trademark. That price doubles when you're talking about the 700HP deal. I saw the video about the HPE 700 package and I think the guy said it was like $20,000!!!!! For $20,000 you should be able to pick up a bit more than 120HP at the crank. Im thinking for $20,000 I should be getting at least 700RWHP. But, that's just my opinion.
