I - along with most -- could predict some of what was going to happen in this business.

With what's happened just since January 1 - I won't make a prediction.

Let me ask you this: Why not buy an SS -- enjoy it - and IF the Z28 comes along, you can sell it and purchase another?

think of having "Perma-grin" for the next couple of years...........

yes that makes perfect logic, I might have to go that route, don't like the idea of loosing money if I decide to return the car. was hopping to wait and save for a Z28 say for a couple of years, but if the Z28 is just not going to happen then might as well go with a supercharger, although I don't like the idea of breaching the warranty.

thanks for the insight though

I fully understand your point as I'm working in a corporate and investment bank that lost 1,5 billion Euros in one year ... I understand, we had the same choices: stop risky businesses, keep on stable ones, get some cash ...

I know there are many many smart guys in GM as we have in our bank ... but 6 months after we've made our choices, it appears that activities we decided to stop are the ones making BIG money right now.

I understand you come here to explain the situation to passionate people and not to get ideas from people who are not in the industry, but that was just an idea: sometimes, passion and risk make money.

I appreciate you coming here giving some news. But what I'd love, besides you telling us the Z28 will start production in 2010, would be to have a schedule: I'm pretty sure you guys have made predictions and know, or almost know, when a Z28 "would be possible". I'd love to hear something "if there's one, you can be sure it won't be before 2011, 2012, 2013 ...."

EDIT: Just seen you somehow answered this question! I wasn't even expecting you to answer actually!lol

I'd love to know that. Coz' as a european guy,it would cost much more than 35k to get the car, the car I'll buy will be for life.

Keep on fighting for us!!!!

Scott, that sounds like a sales pitch if I ever heard one......

Perhaps GM is trying to get people to buy two Camaros - one SS now, and then a Z28 later.

That has been my plan from the beginning.

If you want Nav, Hud, and all these other crazy comfort features, why don't you buy a Corvette or a Cadilac. Last time I checked, all other Camaros were more about performace than comfort. I would rather them take the money they are spending on putting all these high tech toys that most of us will never use and put them toward some more power, handling, ect. I'm all about bringing the Z back, we know that won't happen anytime soon but at least the Camaro is back better than ever.

They used sample groups and found that nav was not a needed option...

They also did the same thing about V8, the blue colors, and four pack guages...

The moral of the story is the sample groups don't alway work out, and I think more poeple would like nav than they may think. I hope they have this option, I would pay the money. IMO.

I can't even figure out where they'd stick the nav. screen if they wanted to.

HUD and full ABL are their top priorities at the moment. Trivialities like secondary nav systems are not on the radar.

A pop-up nav screen would end up blocking 90% of the windshield anyway.
