I'm not sure what mine smells like. I have been having sinus problems for a while.

But, I imagine it smells mostly new to people. I don't smoke or do anything else to stink it up and it's only 7 months old.

My previous truck, my girlfriend at the time got in it once and takes a couple sniffs to which I go 'What?'. She smiles and says 'Oh nothing, smells like a working mans truck. Nothing wrong with that!'. I work in a truck manufacturing plant so after work I probably smell lightly of sweat, aluminum/steel, and paint.

A local car wash used to have those in a vending machine and they did in fact smell like the real new car smell. Sadly, they changed manufacturing or something and I've never been able to find ones that smell as good as the originals. Most air fresheners smell awful to me. I like the smell of plain clean.

6 months and 2000 miles and still has that new car smell (when the top is up). I'm sure it will fade soon, but still enjoying it while I can!

New Car Smell

Yes, @ almost 2 years and 5,280 miles +/-. It's always garaged and I treat the seats with Meguiars, never smoked in or eaten in.

Mine still does. Almost 9000 miles since April! My wife points it out every time we get in the car (she loves it)!

Fabulous idea.....

Go to a fabric store and buy a one foot wide (they are 3 or 4 feet long) of the best leather and throw it in your trunk or back seat when it sits. The smell will ALWAYS smell new!

Maybe not inside but when I smoke the tires it still smells like the first time!

Where did you get your custom leather done, did you buy off the internet and have someone do it, or do it yourself? About how much did it cost you? I am thinking of having this done to my 1LT.
