Do you guys order for specific factory options? Two dealers within 5 miles of me gets atleast 1 per dealer monthly. Last month 1 of the dealers had 2, a convert and hard top.

I ordered with two options that I wanted. I've seen similar ZL1's at different dealers however my friends father is the Service Manager at the dealership I ordered from so I'm more comfortable going through them. I definitely trust him to take good care of the car upon arrival. I'm just hoping its here by the Spring...

I have been waiting for nine months. Much different process in Canada. Supply and demand plus allocation issues. Mine is FINALLY built and being shipped. Hope to get it before Xmas. Hey icemanmanf which dealer did you go through?

Ordered May, received November. Stay on dealer. Make him prove he actually has an allocation and when he can actually use it. Evidently Chevy makes all the decisions as to when and which dealer gets these cars. Not so easy to deal with! Good luck! Well worth the wait!

I am very dissatisfied with the entire Chevrolet process:

Dealer receives ZL1 allocation based on total Chevrolet sales.
Dealers are also sent ZL1's that they did not ask for and are not pre-sold.
Constraints on ECF hood extractor and bright aluminum 5 spoke wheels.
Random selection of which orders will be produced next ?

IF I get screwed by Chevrolet and my ZL1 is not delivered exactly as I ordered, THEN I will not buy it !

I will buy a 2014 Mustang Shelby GT 500 convertible 662 HP instead.

If it's still at 1100, that tells me either the dealer doesn't have an allocation, or he does but GM hasn't allowed him to use it yet.

as far as I know, the last round of allocations were announced back in June to cover the period between June and the end of December.

i suspect that a new round of allocations would be announced in Jan, but again, they announce to the dealers how many they will recieve, but they won't know WHEN they will be able to use them until GM tells them on a month to month basis.

I'd double-check with your dealer to see if they actually have an allocation or not.
