Well it is a very very sad time. It is that time of the year again where I gotta put Amber into storage :(. The worst part about it is that she is stored in my dad's garage which is 300 miles away so I don't even get to see her everyday :(. While she is in storage though I plan on doing some mods that I otherwise wouldn't be able to do while I drove it daily. Most of the mods I have planned are for the engine bay. I just sent out my IM to get ported and I also plan on getting it polished. I also intend to do some painting to my valve covers and plenum cover.
In the mean time I am stuck driving the winter beater depress-mobile, my '06 Hyundai Elantra lol. |

So sad bro lol but I can't wait to hear what your impressions on the ported manifold are...Rx or mace? (I wonder if your throttle body made that decision
) that will be my last possible bolt on mod :( haha

Haha I went with Mace, the whole throttle body thing actually didn't have anything to do with my decision belive it or not. Lol unfortunately I won't be able to give ya my impression on it till like March or April lol.

Haha well you got me there, but I've been in Similiar situations like with RPI
so I can sympathize. But anyways that's cool, I'm really diggin the polished look as well and can't wait to get mine too. I can almost lose traction with T/c on wondering what the ported manifold butt dyno will tell us...

My Mace Stage 3 ported IM arrived today and I can't wait to install it. For anyone who is acutally follow this and expects me to do a review on it I am sorry but I won't be able to give a good one. I plan on doing a couple of other performance mods this winter (hopefully BBK headers
I could use some advice on getting the plenum cover and IM polished. I talked to a place that can polish them for $75 an hr and they said it would take about 2-3 hrs so that is about $150-$225 and know I will be happy with how it looks. Or I can go out buy everything I need and over the course of the winter I can do it myself slowly but surely prob for much much less. Anyone have any ideas? |

Wow! looks like you're gonna be a little busy this winter! Have you tried Tracy (sc2150) for the IM polishing?

Yea he doesn't do it anymore since it is too time consuming lol. I'll have to do a little research and see how to go about doing it myself.

Wow that looks great bro, how about you ship it to me and I'll give you a review?
I need this mod but more importantly better driving skills at the track...numbers were embarrassing for the mods I have the funny thing is my reaction and 60 ft time weren't bad at all -_- just the quarter mile time???

Maybe you'd be better off just painting the manifold? If you polish you also run the problem of having to upkeep it when it dulls out
