HELP, HELP, HELP!!

HELP, HELP, Help:
Over the weekend I installed a coil pack chrome package and in the process I pulled the oil dip stick tube out of the engine for more room. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get the tube back into the hole and Iv'e gotten to that point. Of course you can't see the hole at all. I haven't had any luck at all and it is driving me crazy! I called the local chevy dealer (Holmes) and they suggested that I not drive it to them because there will be oil everywhere. I'm at a lost of what to do now, any suggestions for me? Any help would be appreciated.

I thought about renting a trailer to get it down to them, and I bet it would take them about 5 minutes to do.

Bill

If you think 2 guys could figure it out, 1 on top and 1 on the bottom, give me a call and I'll stop over and give you a hand. From exploded views it looks like it goes behind the down pipe behind the exhaust manifold at the second spark plug. I'll bet both of us could get it done in minutes. I'm in DSM at 515-770-2308

We will have to get together some time this spring for a cruse? I live in the Easter Lake area.

I have to agree the lighted bow ties do look neat! We have some carbon fiber bow ties coming. I don't think I could keep up with you on the mods. By the way, love the engine cover.

A spring cruise sounds great! My husband and I live on the NE side of DSM.

Dennis ,
Yes I have the general idea, I even took before pics, and I have have been searching in that general area for days with no luck, I may have to take you up on your offer, what do you think about some time this weekend or I'm also home every night after 5:00 if that works better. You just let me know what day and time and I will become available.

I couldn't agree more. I will likely be taking my 76 there for a dyno tune once I get the oil leak stopped.

+1 on the video. Post it!

I will post when Karl's calls the have the fuel lines, pump and such installed. They (Ryan) were going to call me if I wanted to return to watch it again on the dyno. I said that's a big yes!

My GE rep lives in Altoonna, (classic GTO guy) so he was there all morning with me, so I will assume that other friends also could watch

I've ordered a few things from RPI in the past. Customer service is okay, but good luck if you ever need to try to get a hold of them. If the part is in stock you should be find, but if its custom done by them then expect it to take a couple weeks.

Talked to Juiced1 from Juiced Motorsports and to get ARH LTH ceramic coated it would cost $400. Well, I did a little internet searching and I found Cool Concepts that does this and powder coating. On their webpage it says they are from Amana, IA but when I googled them it says they are in CR on the SE side. I looked at the prices and they are nearly half what ARH will do them for. Has anyone else here heard of them or know if they do good work?

My mods are light since I don't want to blow my warranty....but my wife bought me
Oracle dual halo - blue&white
and my mom is buying me a mail slot light in blue for a christmas present...
I have two great women in my life that buy me stuff that really matters for Christmas...car stuff.
I have other lighting that I want done, but installing these halo is going to be a chore for sure.
