Spyder Lights?

I'm thinking of getting these lights and wondered if anyone had experience with them. Are they good and bright? I know the halo looks different than the RS package halos do, but I thought it might be cool to be a little different. My car is a 2012 1SS so it just has the non halo halogens. Link to lights:

Or if you guys know some other cool lights that wouldn't be too painful or horrifically expensive to install I'm up for suggestions. The RS headlights probably aren't an option since I think they're a touch out of my price range, and quite a pain from my reading. Thanks guys.

I was contemplating very hard on whether I should get some aftermarket headlights for my 1SS since I skimped on the RS package... But then I wondered would the halos be as prominent as the OEM when the HIDS are on???... I have seen aftermarket halos that look good until the HIDS come on and then they get over shadowed...at least you know for a fact that wont happen with the OEM RS headlights...contact 2SSRS (Ofer) he owns www.gen5diy.com... They have the cheapest RS headlights that you can buy...

Yeah I was thinking about going that route. I actually just bought the HUD install kit from his site. If memory serves; with Ofer's RS lights I just need to get his refurbed lights and a harness he also sells, which is a pretty good deal. Did you end up going that route sonnydurden?

Dang wish I could have gotten them on the black friday deal. I didn't even have the car yet. Lights are probably going to be a Christmas present from my wife. I think she'd like the $400 price tag of the Spyders better. I may just tell her to wait and save up a bit and go with Ofer's lights.

I'll be purchasing those headlights either this month or next month. You can find a set brand new with ccfl for $305 on ebay. Make sure you get the ones with the ccfl halos since they are brighter than the standard halos. The kit is plug and play and it also accepts H13 HIDs. The only problem is that you will have to find a 12v power source to hook up the halos. I was thinking of wiring the halos up to my sidemarkers, but I might end up doing it a different way. As for the RS headlights, you can find a single (left or right) for about $250 here on the forums as well as the other one.

Yeah they look good in the picture and in the video justraf linked. I like the RS lights a bit better, but the spyder's wouldn't be bad either. Wish I could see them on my car and compare hahah.

Hmmm I didn't realize that about wiring that halos. I was considering adding them to the fog light switch. I'm sort of iffy about it. Not totally sure I want to make those 2 sets of lights mutually inclusive. Guess it wouldn't be so bad though. I'll check out ebay. Thanks for the heads up.

I nearly got the Spyder lights last week but I was told that they will not work as I have the RS package. Can anyone advise if there is a way of making them work? Or does anyone know of any other aftermarket brand that could work on RS cars?

Thanks

Hmmm I've only seen non RS conversions since they're basically trying to duplicate the RS lights. Do you not like the stock RS lights/halos?
