LED Lights Causing an Error
Hi,
I bought some LED tail lights for my 2010 SS/RS, and I decided to have the dealer install them, to be sure things were done right. Well when they are installed, it throws a computer error, which can be cleared by hitting the button on the turn signal stalk. However, when the key cycles off, then back on, the error shows up again. It has done this with two sets of lights. I have tried to look through previous posts, but I haven't found quite the same issue, but I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks!

My first thought is that I'm wondering if the computer is seeing a different resistance on the bulb wiring and it thinks there is a light out.
If that's it, you might need to add a specific measured resistor to ground on the wire to simulate the bulb so the circuit is correct.

Yes I have I bought some sweeptite sequential led tail lights. I had to install some load resistors so I would not get the errors

yeah, it does throw an error because of the resistance but nothing that will cause permanent damage. If it does bother you, load resistors will do the trick.
