Three. Highest was something like 12mph over. I did get a verbal warning once for 45mph over the limit. Unmarked car & I thought he was trying to race me. Yep I was a stupid 17yo. 50yo now.

If you take traffic school it won't affect your insurance. It will always be on your record there just won't be any points taken away from you record with traffic school. Not sure what the laws are there but here you can do traffic school once every 18 months.

If you are convicted, the ticket will show up on your driving record. Your insurance company routinely checks your record and your premium might go up. How much, if any, depends on the insurance company.
Since you are a juvenile, you have coverage through your parents policy.
Confess to your parents about what happened. Withholding information from them will make it worse when they eventually find out.
Traffic school might keep it off your record but laws are different for juveniles. Ask the judge about it..and yes a parent is required to appear in court with you.

None since.
You got a ticket for going 5 over?? I didn't think they could pull you over for only 5 over.

I decline answering that question on the grounds it might incriminate me...

I got a ticket in Hereford Texas for 3 over the limit. Had to mail the fine in a hand-scrawled envelope to the mayor's home address. I inserted a note that I planned to write it off my taxes. After seeing their town, I considered it charity!

Two on motorcycles, one of which had a personalized license plate that read "YGOSLO." One in a car when I was 16. None in almost 30 years since the last one.

In my past I seem to average 1 just under every 3 years. Just close enough together so I can't claim RI's "good driver record" and get out of paying it. Now I just get BS tickets because my car SOUNDS like I'm going 100mph. Not speeding tickets. "Care from stop" tickets. The older you get the more you realize regular speeding just isn't worth it. Occasional "acceleration tests" on the onramp however...

Two.

One in 1989 and one in 2008. 36 in a 30 and *ahem* cited for 97 in a 65. Got away with a lot on that day, I was hitting the governor in the supercharged Riviera

Never (successfully) ticketed in a muscle or sports car however. Chased once by the cops, but the guy was pulling me over the ask where I got my car parts.

That also reminds me of the time a uniformed Boston cop in a marked cruiser pulled up next to me and challenged me - he said he'd go get his '70 Chevelle and race my '70 GS455 right then. Very odd. Didn;t race, not a street racing story, I told him that my car couldn't exceed the speed limit.
