Out the exhaust pipes in cold weather compared to other cars that is.
Any idea why the lfx and its exhaust system might be acting this way?

It's probably all the oil our cars suck up through the valves. I'm joking but maybe that has something to do with it?

Smoke or steam? A smallish engine having to heat two exhaust pipes would take longer to stop the steam I would guess....

Dual-mode should theoretically produce the most vapor? Four pipes take longer to heat up than two?

I think it's steam. It does have any burning smell to it. It evaporates into the air pretty quickly.

No worries. A slightly rich, cold engine produces lots of warm water vapor as a by product of combustion. Once the pipes are hot enough to evaporate all the water by the time it hits the cold air outside it stops. BTW, in a perfect world, the only 2 byproducts of the combustion of a hydrocarbon are water and carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide and other gases are products of incomplete combustion, as there is no perfect world. Good for next trivial pursuit or jeopardy question? Or making your date loathe you and go to sleep haha
