Help me decide!

I've narrowed it down between 2 exhausts, I'm either going to go with the MRT Axle back v2 or the Solo Mach X-LFX Cat-Back Exhaust.

I also want to get the Solo HFC.

Thoughts?

I voted Solo...since I am biased...I have the HFC and their cat back exhaust. A buddy of mine has MRT 2.0 and it sounds really good, but I like the Solo better. To me the MRT 2.0 is louder, so with HFCs it would be even louder still. I didn't want to be obnoxious, just a nice exhaust tone.

Solo is having a group buy currently also on the HFC's...check out the vendor v6 bolt on forum.

I say get the MRT 2.0 but I am biased too. Your best bet is to listen to them both in person so you can decide. If you can't do that, then listen to them on you tube. Audio does not do them justice though. After that, if you still can't decide... get the MRT!

Yeah, I saw that group buy. I can't buy anything till after the holidays though, I spent all my extra cash on gifts already! lol To be honest I kind of like the tone of the MRT better, even though I like them both. It's just really hard since I can't hear them in person and videos on youtube are kind of hard to judge.

I've listened to hundreds of clips by now lol it's just hard because some videos are crappy and even the best ones probably don't do them justice. This is why I'm asking for everyone's opinion!

Sound clips are definitely tough. I was in the same boat as you about a month ago...even posted a poll just like you! Then I stumbled onto Solo...and liked what I heard. I had heard the MRT 2.0 in person, but not the solo. I wanted to be different from others in my Camaro club too, so I chose the Solo. I don't think you can go wrong with either...and like was said before, sound clips just don't do them justice!

i have the MRT V2.0 and cant say enough good things about it. loud a wot and quiet when you want it to be. there is very little drone say around 2200 rpm but like i said very little. the overall sound is just what i was looking for from my v6. Oh yea check out Jason at juiced motorsports for the best deals.

Thank for all the info and opinions. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the MRT. If the drone really annoys me, is there a way to reduce it?

There are several things you can do about the drone...helmholtz pipe, magnaflow X pipe, etc.. That is what I liked about the Solo...no drone since it has the built in J pipes. I probably would have gone with the MRT if i wasn't worried about the drone. I would also wonder if adding the HFC will it add to the drone of the MRT since it will definitely be louder than normal?

I guess there's only one way to find out!
