Extended warranty?

I'm buying a certified used 2010 SS and got offered a 10 year/70k? miles bumper to bumper extended warranty at the dealer. Never gotten an extended warranty before because they are usually rather short (4-5 years). What do you guys think? Does that price sound about right?

They were asking 2,500-2,600. Sounded reasonable but I've never bought one before so I wouldn't know.

You can always talk deals on there extended warranty packages, tire/rim protection packages, etc. Don't ever take the first figure they throw at you.

Yes, price is negotiable. Also if you do get an extended warranty, please make sure it GMPP, General Motors Protection Plan.

The aftermarket warranties are garbage and the service dept couldn't care less if they deny you coverage, but the GMPP warranty has GM as the first two letters, enough said.

Definitely recommend it but that's waaaayyyyy too much. And I agree, go with GMPP I've heard to many horror stories about aftermarket, for lack of better terms, warranties. Definitely check what is covered and your deductable, if any.

This is a great recommendation, Hercules. GMPP major guard covers virtually every component of your vehicle, as well as providing Alternate Transportation and Roadside Assistance, including towing for covered repairs.
