Trunk open fix?

Anyone come up with a fix for this?
Went out today and the trunk is popped open on its own.
Snowed last night, this remote is too sensitive.

My 2010 used to do that all the time. My 2012 has only done it twice, it's improved but not fixed.

You can take the fuse out so it won't pop at all. That's what I do but you have to put the fuse back in to use the trunk.

I thought it was just me !!

Glad(?) to hear this is actually a common issue. I could never remember popping the trunk, only to find the next morning the damn thing is open. Especially disconcerting since I have no idea when the damned thing happens.

It usually happens to me when I have more than one set of keys in my pocket. I usually don't notice until I start the car and the "Trunk Open" message appears on the DIC.

Couple weeks go I was hanging Christmas lights and thought, Damn that sounds like my car. Get off the ladder nd look around and no other cars around. Go in the garage and the car is running. Some how started with the keys in my pocket. Most have hit the lock and remote start buttons perfectly.

Not with the Camaro, but with my DD I was wondering why bad gas mileage and having to fill up more often until I realized I was remote starting my car often. Really glad that it is in the driveway and never in the garage.

I was sitting in a restaurant once with my car in sight when I noticed the tail lights flash a few times. I was like WTF? Then I looked closely and noticed the trunk popped. I generally carry the key by itself in my pocket. It has no other keys attached to it. Only happened once in 8 months.

Anybody know if that Casper Electronics relay will work with different make cars?

The more functions they decide to crowd into fobs and/or keys, the more useful this sort of thing is going to become.

I ran a bypass switch from the fuse box. So the only way to open it the switch has to be on.
