Thumbs up Sell it for 10K over or keep it, thoughts?

All, has anyone considered selling their SS for 10K over list on Ebay, etc..? I imagine their are a lot of rich dads out their who have more money than patience that seem to be willing to pay the premium? Don't hate me for asking, just curious if anyone has considered this. I don't plan to, but it is tempting...

If I had a buyer and the money was there, I'd do it in a heart beat and go get another one.

If I could I would. Hard to turn down 10k in this economy. E Bay sales can be deceiving though. I lot of them dont meet reserve and are shill bids and I know of one here locally that sold at 9k over MSRP after he took delivery and the guy never showed up. He found a car at MSRP and simply did not follow thru. I think as more cars get out there that will happen more and more.

There is no way I would do this. This car is now part of our family. This is
more than a car to me.

For the extra 10k?? I would definitely do it and just order another one, then just use that 10k toward the new car. No reason not to!

I'd do it. If some dumba$$ want to hand over an extra 10Gs, it's on him. I'd just order another one!

Ebaying

I might have to.... I broke the cardinal rule, got weak and anxious, ordered a 1SS/RS LS3 2K over MSRP on 2/26/09 (in writing) deposited 2K and ended up getting jerked around by the dealer.... imagine that... oh did I include still at 1100 So I found a small town dealer who gave me a MSRP deal (in writing) on the same car, ordered on 5/28 #1 in line and went fom 1100 to 2000 in about a week. So now I have twins on order, will see who wins the race, my bet is on the small town guy.

I don't think I could do it - especially after all the dealerships trying to sell over MSRP.

I'm happy with my experience thus far with Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, VA... and if I was to just buy MSRP from them and then resell it for $10,000 over what I paid... it's almost like spitting in their faces for their respectable ethics in giving me a fair deal when they could easily be selling above MSRP themselves.

That and I hate waiting =)
