Had my girl in the car a couple of weeks ago, she asked about the T/C button so I showed her a launch from a light with it on, then one with it off, smoked the tires in 1st and part of second with the ass end fish tailing, she thought it was pretty cool. It made me think of the days in my funnycar doing burnouts!!

Keep doing it, it's more fun if you go WOT through all the gears. I used to have a vid of me in my '98 Formula going WOT from a roll on the highway, 55 to 155 mph.

Just one more time with a video please. Then that will be all.

Some guys with 8's can't handle the power. So better safe than sorry.

Played with my L99 a couple of times after the LT install and dyno tune along with a CAI and ported TB,from a rolling start at about 5mph, hammer it and she roasts them all the way thru first, second and thirdfinally hooks up and flies. Love it butyou gotta be careful as thes cars can get away real quick if you don't pay attention..Twice was enough, decided to save the tiresas they are not cheap.

I guess I'm a noob, but how do I do this with mine? I turn off TC and try to slide around with my tap shift but it always fixes itself :\

i never bothered to learn automatics, but i'm pretty sure if you turn T/C off & put the shifter to 'M', it should hold whatever gear you select as you burn through your rear tires

Stabilitrac is probably still on. You have to hold the button down for 7 seconds to turn off both.

I don't think you should be allowed to buy a 425hp sports car unless you can control it without the use of a traction control. I always turn mine off.

That being said, I'm really glad cars have traction control because plenty of people buy these cars that shouldn't. Not saying OP is necessarily in that group, but think about it... Why would you buy a car that you purposely limit the power of because it makes you uncomfortable at full power? You should buy a lesser car and get over the ego trip of owning a car you are not confident driving.
