Brainstorming.....
My Camaro was turned in to the dealership body shop for minor body repairs. I went to pick it up yesterday and it was running when I got there to pick it up. I noticed the check engine light was on and I figured it was low air in one tire that caused it....so we drove it back in the bay for air and I turned the engine off. When I tried to start it would not start. It would act like it wanted to start but just wouldn't turn over. The shop then put a portable jumper on the terminal in the engine bay...still the same thing. They then placed a charger directly on the battery and after 15 min it started....reluctantly. They then took it out on the road to see what happens and it shut down in the middle of the road while the tech was shifting gears going up a hill and it went back to not starting again with check engine light. They somehow got it started and got it back to the body shop and it goes in to the mechanics for diagnostics. My question for you guys is what could cause this to happen? When I took it to them there were no mechanical issues what so ever....go back and it's the total opposite. Could a bad cell in a battery cause this? Could someone have deleted my custom tune...could that cause it not to start? Any ideas appreciated.
