How did you purchase an '09 Challenger R/T "J" package with the manual trans and 20" wheels for $30,500?
What was the sticker price on the car and how did you get from the sticker to what you paid?

Yeah, I agree with this. There are plenty of cars, suvs, or crossovers that have the qualities he's looking for. That's not what muscle cars are. They are similar cars (like he said), because of price, styling, performance, and history. That's about it. They are totally separate cars, and they'll give you an individual feel. Maybe the challenger felt higher up because you had it on wheels that big?? Oh, and to OP, don't worry about getting torn apart, you will every time you say something negative about the camaro on here.

I can't wait for you to sell your SS for a Camaro Convertible next year so I can hear how you like that one. I envy the money you have available.

I believe him. That is the price a local dealer was gonna give me for an 09 R/T with the J package and manual.

I believe sticker was like $34500 and they were offering employee pricing when I bought it. Not sure if they are still offering that or not..

I've got an 2003 Silverado EXT...and I've got a Borla exhaust and headers...

1) my Silverado is way bigger inside; i can fit 5 adults in it.
2) the Silverado sits up way higher with my 2in lift and 30's
3) the Silverado has a ridiculously loud exhaust note to it.
4) the Silverado has a Bose system that will blow your mind...for a truck
5) ALL kinds of rattles when you hit a tiny lil bump; it rides like a truck... oh yeah it is a truck!
6) I can fit a lot more stuff in the back Silverado than the little truck in my Camaro

LOL...I'm just pulling your leg a bit too....all in good fun...

Trust me, there is no money on the hoods of Challengers. Never had been.
How do I know? 2 reasons.

I work for Chrysler and I just bought a Challenger R/T "J" package.

How long ago was this? This past fall? And what options were on this one?
Well there's been a price increase on them since then. You may be able to get a "F" package for that price, but certainly not a "J".

And because the Brampton plant has been down so long, the supply of stick Challengers is just about nil. I've had many dealers tell me they won't honor my EP. They don't have to.

EP is just shy of 10% below sticker price.
So IF your car stickered for $34,500, then EP would of been a touch more than $31,050.

Just looking at dodge.com, if I build a car like yours (as much as I could tell; don't know if you had a sunroof, HIDs, 6 CD changer, Sound Group II, etc), it would sticker at $36,485. The EP on that car would be about $32,837.

Even if your was built in the fall, that would only make it about one grand cheaper.

Unless you bought a demo model with some miles on it.
