I wouldn't do that. The 3m at Wal Mart is too thick. It'll stick up off the body almost a quater inch.

sat 12-29-12 go to any auto body supply co and buy emblem tape- its a little thinner and does a good job.- you will still have to trim it wirh an exacto knife.

Will spray adhesive do anything to the paint if the emblems ever need to be removed??

I got my 3M tape at AutoZone. It's pretty thin!

the tape from walmart is pretty thin. i used it to put this emblem on my v6

That is my only complaint about my side scoops. The red tape was too thick and left a gap.
