Kev's Garage Opening

Kevs garage will be opening on e again this week; the project at hand- Swap traditional brake pads for Hawks ceramic.
Festivities will commence Saturday, around 11 at mi casa. If Anyone needs directions; hit me up. Otherwise, see ya soon!

Nothing like working on a members car, learning together and B.S.ing the whole way!!!

if you are gonna go thru all the work to change out pads, i would highly suggest that you pull the rotors-take them to napa, and have them turn them, they are sure to have hot spots in them and also some minor abrasion due to sand and grit getting in there,...i would not put some ceramic pads on rotors with a decent amount of milege, also use some Permatex/Disc brake quieter or something of that nature.. .. tj can probably help you get rotors machined...been slammed lately, finally made it by extreme today and saw my kickpanels in ,,,sub box ready to be installed.....will get some pics this week and post...looks bad ass

Youre right Mike... not sure the mileage of Steve's car, but I just shot him a message about that.... I checked mine when I did them and didn't bother, but I had under 15k on it also. NAPA will do it on the spot, right? I know I've had them done before on my wifes car but its been a couple years

Mike can you give me some good news next time? =). Btw, your car looks awesome, can't wait to see it in person.

Just kidding, thanks for the tip! Kev says there is a NAPA right by his place so I will take them over before we put the pads on.

Mike; good call on the rotors- barely got em to Napa in time; but they said they were pretty bad.

For anyone who hasn't done them yet- brakes and rotors.are.very simple.on these cars. Highly.recommend the ceramics; almost zero brake dust... money well spent.

Mike,

Those look awesome. Also, just wanted to say thanks for the heads up on turning the rotors. The Napa guy said they needed it so you saved me some trouble!

Getting closer guys. Good chance I will be dropping the motor in next weekend. Might be running sooner than later. Just need to bolt the heads on and she is ready to go. All the other gaskets are on. Cleaned up the oil pump, lifters and put on new polyurethane motor mounts.

Wanted to share an action shot from this weekend at Kev's place. Hopefully will have the wheels and calipers done by the show this Saturday. Although it's looking like the following week =(
