Loud exhaust pop

This has probably been covered before, but I have the american thunder flowmaster catback, and when you start the car, it sometimes makes a loud pop, it also did this with the stock exhaust, just not as loud, is this pretty common, or is it reving to high on startup? 2011 l99 with afm disabled with tune.

just wanted to add, that it doesn't do this on an initial cold start, just after the car is warm, like I go to the gas station and get back in my car, start it and it makes the loud pop. Car has done this since new, now has 10k miles.

Common and normal with these type of motors! Some people like it, and some don't !!

It's just your car letting all the other nearby cars know who the boss is.

Its the backfire from the exhaust, unburned gas flowing through the exhaust pipes. I love that sound, especially loud with my long tube headers and high flow cats
