No where in SummoneR`s OP did I see him ask for an opinion, take a poll or ask "what do you think?" So why the negative comments? You`ve made your feelings known, so move on or move out.

While I think that those pics that Nightmare posted are extremely gaudy...I can respect that there are people that want to customize their cars to suit them. Just because it's not "my" style doesn't mean that it's wrong. If you enjoy it...go for it. It's really no different than buying a color that nobody likes...if you like it, that's all that matters.

I just want lights in the footwell to go along with the rest of the lighting on the interior.

(BTW, Didn't Chevy put LED's in the interior?)

I'm thinking of getting the orange ones for the footwells and under the front seats.
I run a 8 or 10 gauge wire to a a terminal bus under the dash (fused of course) I use the stinger 18 gauge wire for all other connections. You can/should also connect a relay so that the lights flash with the parking lights when you lock or unlock the car, and then you have them wired to a switch as well (obviously). It's a lot to explain right now. But I can draw a diagram on how it all connects, it's just getting late right now. So stay tuned.

heres the link of what i ordered for those who are interested...cost me 452 bucks with shipping included

and the 4 piece interior with extra control box...

i know alot of people label this "rice" and think its stupid...but i think it looks good and as far as it being a cheap fix to make a car look modded that really isnt, whos to say i wont being doing other shit too? i always wanted to do this to my car and when i was 19 my father did it to his tahoe just to make me jealous cuz he knew i liked it...and now im 25 finally getting my own new car and imma finally get to do it! so all you haters with nothing but negative shit to say can go f*ck yourself
LOL Nice Nightmare.

Man you went all out on the kit! But that's good, it's easier to do that way. Less improvising for those who have not done it before.
Can't wait to see it, you'll have your in before i have mine!

Correct, I don't mind the comments, but state it and move on, it is a free public forum, but this thread was more meant to give some ideas and or just talk about what some will be doing etc... I did not want it to turn into a flaming match.

Thanks for the replies, like I said in my earlier post, I can post a schematic wiring diagram when I get the time, I am designing a house for my sister right now, all while reading these forums and studying for my Architectural duties at work.

That would look nice!!

Oh to answer an earlier question, I never took any of them installed in my FJ, as many others in the FJ forums already did. I will certainly do so in my Camaro for you guys.

Here are some of the FJ. These use to be amber.

I've always wanted to visit NYC. If it got too difficult I could take a vacation.

Yeah the instruction will most likely be a straight install. Unless these people were sharp and thought "Hey maybe we should explain how to do an optional relay" It's fairly simple to do, you just have to run a line from the "flashers" to a relay that would signal the relay to activate and supply power to the lights, so when your parking lights flash or are on, it will flash and or turn on your street lights. Then you just have a switch in line with that so you can shut them off when you want.

In regards to the dash lights, hopefully it's fairly simple like the FJ was. I will find out when I get the car in my grubby hands!

It's funny you mention that. I was thinking with the battery in the truck. It should be a lot easier. If it were in the engine compartment, sometimes they have a grommet you can run the wire through, if not sometimes they have a flat area to drill and grommet yourself. In the trunk you should not have as difficult of a time finding and area to snake some wires at all.

I wish I could have seen Manhattan prior to 9/11 :( But I bet it's still cool.
