Until they make a 2014 ZL1, the numbers can continue to grow, then shortly after the 14, GM will release how many 13s were made.

I'll venture a guess that there will be three 2013 ZL1's for every 2012

I heard they made 1885 in 2012, where did you hear 1971? And also, according to posters on this board, at least 4800 have made in 2013.

I don't think this would be a bad thing for the ZL1 owners. I mean the '69 ZL1 is a legend and is nearly impossible to find. Not sayin the 12-13 ZL1 will ever be as iconic but ???

Personally I would be happy with a low production run and discontinued. Makes the car more desirable and harder to get. Hopefully holds the value better. And years from now people might still look back and say "cool, that's a ZL1"

I'm just happy to be able to own this great car no matter how many they make. You never know, they might never make another Camaro with 580HP. CAFE laws are going to kill that eventually.

Also mine is #00968....00....that means 10s of thousands. Haha

The 1971 includes the sales from Canada.

The next Gen is coming out in 2016. Wouldn't that be a four year run for the ZL1?

I think 2012 ZL1 offered only in US/Canada region. Now they are offering 2013 ZL1 for the rest of the world too. So expect higher numbers with each market region added to the list.
