Dealer survey

Ok, I know these are important but really how important; can a salesman get fired over these?

I just got a call from my salesman and he said he is on the verge of getting fire because I put “very satisfied” instead of “completely satisfied”. He asked me to write an email to his General Manager stating I was completed satisfied.

Is this true? Can he get fired because of this?

BS. It's because of a bonus he isn't getting.

That is what I thought, thanks for confirming!

Had he been honest and said that was the reason I would have done it, not he can forget it!

Those surveys are worthless. They must be 100% completely satisfied or it's crap for them as they need great scores to make the quarterly GM bonus. This is why they offer to "help" you fill them out. Beg you to contact them if you have any issue before you fill it out etc.. I have also seen people get the run around and crap service and dirty looks after they filled one out that wasn't 100% satisfied on everything. Oh, and don't expect any "gifts" now Felix lol. No flowers or gift certificates for you.

Dealers should never offer anything for a perfect survey. The GM police would hammer them hard for that.

Here's a novel idea for dealerships. Completely satisfy your customers and you'll get a survery that shows completeley satisfied.

I don't know what the outcome of those survey's do or don't do for the sales people or even the service dept after you take it in for service. I have a pretty good relationship with all the people I deal with down at the dealership. I actually have a good time whenever I go down there. Im lucky to have such a cool dealership to deal with. Especially with the service dept., and their mod friendly additude. So I just give em what they want and check completely satisfied on everything. And everyone is happy.

If they find out. This is pretty much the same as the war on drugs. Tons more get's in than what gets caught lol.

So perhaps you should change from 'very satisfied' to 'satisfied' because of the phone call?

My dealer gave me $20 in BP gas cards to fill out the survey. The straight up told me that. I could careless so I did it. They did give me pretty good service too.

The survey is dumb. It needs to be perfect for them to get the bonus (what in life is perfect, really?) so it has become an underhanded game to get these scores. It is stupid for GM and the dealer.

I was completely satisfied so I gave a good score and received a parting gift of a free tank of gas. Was the one payoff for the other? Of course not!

The employee gets a $50 bonus for every completely satisfied survey and each person can do a total of three per year (once for every purchase/service you have done up to three).
