Here is the email I sent him. I included a link to this thread after the body of the email.
Good morning, I purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 a few months ago at XXXXXXXXXX. With my vehicle came a 12 month subscription to SiriusXM radio. It has been about three months since my purchase, and my subscription just “expired” and my XM radio was shut off. I am a member of the Camaro5 forums online, where numerous other owners have had this happen to them as well. My calls to SiriusXM have thus far not resulted in reactivation of my service. Others online have had some success with sending an email to this address. Below, I have listed my vehicle and personal information. I have also placed a link to the thread online, where hundreds of customers are having this same issue. There have actually been XM representatives posting in the thread to try to help resolve other’s issues. This seems to be an ongoing problem with either SiriusXM or with Chevrolet that is resulting in many unhappy customers. Could you please help me to resolve this issue? Thanks! Name:xxxxxxx Address: xxxxxxx Phone: xxxxxxx VIN number: xxxxxxxx |

It's still 3 months for LS, 1LT and 1 SS and 12months for 2LT, 2SS, and ZL1

Just wanted to share my frustrating experience:
I too was given a 3 month trial of Sirius on my 2013 Camaro 2LT, while the window sticker clearly stated 12 months. I called in the 3 month period multiple times and was told my dealer had to call in. He did and they told him (this is good) yes the vehicle does get a 12 month trial, but the new Sirius policy is to give the 3 months, then the customer must call in at the end of the 3 months and we will extend him 9 more months (pretty sure they make stuff up as they go at the call centers). Absurd I agree, however I waited it out. On February 1 my 3 month trial expired and I called in and was told by 2 reps that they checked the vehicle list and the Camaro does not get a 12 month trial. My dealer then called and was told it does get 12 months and was assured they fixed my account. I checked my account online and found out that they simply extended it another 3 months. So I was not about to go through this fiasco again in 3 months. I filed a complaint against Sirius via the New York Better Business Bureau last night. I received a call before 10:00 AM today from Sirius to let me know that they not only fixed the issue they were giving me a 12 month subscription from today. So I ended up with 15 months due to my troubles. It really should not be that difficult, but I am just glad it is fixed now. Good Luck to anyone else with this issue, it is beyond frustrating... |

Without notifying anybody I received a letter from Sirius stating that I will receive the unused value of the 12 months as a credit for future service and that they were aware of the error. This is in regards to my 2012.

My trial ended after 3 months. Brandon from Chevrolet customer service got my info and got the trial extended. But I noticed it was only for 3 more months...set to expire in early March.
So I called my dealer and they worked with XM to get the other 9 months. But he told me that they could only extend the trial for 3 months at a time. So I expect to still have to go through this every 3 months. So stupid. On a related note, I pay to get the XM online internet feature. I went through a lot of struggles and frustration to get that set up. After my dealer called and worked to extend my trial, I lost the internet radio feature even though I had paid for it. I had to get back with XM customer service to get that reactivated. XM...you monitor these forums. You have a great product. Your customer service is the WORST I have ever dealt with. If you really want to build your brand and make money, you need to correct the total BS that people have to go through to get your service. I dont understand why it has to be so complicated.

I want to give a huge thank you to Jenna Campbell with SiriusXM for fixing this issue for me. After sending an e-mail to sxm_help@siriusxm.com, I received a call from Jenna (within 24 hours) who apologized for the issue and resolved everything within nine minutes. This issue applies to all 2013 ZL1s, so if your XM goes dark after the free week going on until tomorrow, just send them an e-mail.

Activated my 13 with MyLink for 1 year, but then I discovered that my data services for movies, fuel, and weather had stopped working. When I tried to access any of those features, I would get a subscription expired notice. Had to call back again. This time it took twice as long as the first guy could not fix the issue, and insisted that I needed to add NAVTraffic as well as TravelLink to my account. Then, he could not get it to work and had to transfer me to another person. After, speaking to the next person, I was able to (not him) determine that I did not need the NAVTraffic on my account, especially since it is an addional charge that does nothing for you if you do not have a Navigation system built in that they will be happy to charge you at least $3.99 a month for once your trial is up. You will need TravelLink to access fuel, weather and movie data on your MyLink system though. $1.99 per month charge... As of today...

Still going thru the same crap with XM. I sure wish I didnt like their product. So another 3 months has passed and yep, they cut off my service AGAIN. After several communications with them, I got the service back on in my ZL1. But I pay for the internet radio feature so I can listen online.
And as expected, now I cannot access it. When they reset my car account, they turn off the internet radio feature. This happens every 3 months. I worked with one of their online care "specialists" this morning and he kept telling me that there wasnt a problem. But when I try to log in to listen, I get an "account inactive" popup. He tried resetting it all from his end with no luck. XM has got to have the WORST customer service in the history of the planet. So frustrating. GENERAL MOTORS....You need to kick some XM butt and get this issue resolved. Ridiculous that customers are having to go thru this nonsense.
