I'm headed up to Midway Chevrolet. Picking up some goodies for the ZL1. Going to keep it all a secret until I'm done with the upgrades. if anyone needs the wheels I have listed, it will go a long way.

Spoke to Melanie, Guest Services Rep at Barrett-Jackson, about getting some reserve parking for the club when we drive up on the 15th. The only reserve parking they have to offer is on the lawn for the registered bidders, or valet parking. The only other option is to park at the resort and ride the shuttle in. I valet parked the last few years without problems. You can see them drive and park your car from the entrance. This is a group of folks that park Ferrari's and Aston Martins for a living at the resort. It beats parking in the dirt (or mud) a mile from the entrance. The valet parking is actually closer than the bidder parking, which is on the lawn behind Westworld.
I also asked about getting a section up in the bidder's box if available. They've done this for me before. She said they have reached capacity already for consigned vehicles and registered bidders, but if they are slow Tuesday afternoon, she'll let me know if we can get in. It might be difficult with a group of 6 or more. The only benefit is that you sit above the unwashed peasants in the grand stands, and a waitress comes to you instead of having to go to the food booths. Melanie's helped in the past, so I know she'll do what she can for us. I'm hoping she can arrange a meeting with Craig Jackson or Steve Davis before we leave there. Mr. Jackson always gives away stuff to fellow gearheads at the auction... I'll keep working with them to get whatever freebies I can.

Looking at the Camaro calendars I got last week, I say its 12 - 14 April. We still need to discuss the travel dates and plans. Something to add to the meeting agenda!

This month's meeting will be 10 Jan at Firehouse Subs on the Southeast corner of Orange Grove and Thornydale. We'll eat at 6:00 and talk cars around 7:00. Next door, Freddy's Steak Burgers will be hosting their Cruise-in, so lots of car stuff going on there!
Please PM or email me by Wednesday to let me know the number of folks and cars we need to reserve spots for. Hope to see you there!

I am thinking about pulling the trigger on a set of Kooks Headers. Has anyone had a set of headers installed here in Tucson? I am looking for a reputable shop that is familiar with a header installs on our car.

Texas Camaro Revolution (San Antonio, TX) - April 12, 13, & 14, 2013
Quote:
The host hotel is the Hampton Inn and Suites - Selma. The room rate is $89, and includes hot breakfast every morning. We currently have 45 rooms blocked off, and we will open more as necessary. TCR Event Update: Saturday, April 13th, is a BIG day. First thing Saturday morning, we'll be setting up TWO, yes I said TWO, TeXasCross courses at Retama Park thanks to Pedders USA and the H-Town Camaro Club. There will be TONS of room for not only the courses, but a car show (more info to come) and vendor area. TCR Event Update: Sunday, April 14th, in the spirit of of keeping tradition, we'll be doing a cruise up to the Oasis in Austin for lunch. They'll have the same area set up for us as last year, and the same great buffet style lunch. This will be a great opportunity to get some pictures of all the cars and the group.

Any where local that sells quality vinyl selections for gills and emblem inlays? Or anywhere at least that does a good install if I ordered some from Big Worm Graphics?
