For all the things your looking for the L99 is the clear winner. Now for the things you didnt ask about. The auto GT is the clear cut winner stock for stock and mild mods for mods. People have gotten the auto GT to high 10's and low 11's with just bolt ons. That is something that the L99 is not even close. It is also ALOT less expensive to mod the GT.

Well I saw your numbers and they are higher than the previous L99 models.

Yet we need another freak to confirm that your car is not a freak

My L99 went 6.96 in the 1/8th mile and the motor itself is still a bonestock L99 everything that touches oil is stock. Now on the outside, game on...Lol..

If you're looking for ride comfort and handling, as well as low end torque, I would definitely say the L99 is the way to go. Mustang is faster stock or equally modded, but the live rear axle, and the under shocked/under sprung suspension are far from comfortable, unless you are on very smooth roads.

This is what I would do. Take them both out on the same roads and see which one fits your style/wants. Good luck and congrats to moving up to a V8. You will LOVE it.

Wow I must've really sucked the first time I went Haha. I ran 9.1 and couldn't get any better. Though I didn't do any thing to help like burnouts or lowering my tires.

This. Seeing that "smooth roads" are really non existent in our part of the world, I say the L99 is the way to go

Well convertibles are heavier than hard tops and letting the tires down and a burn out would help!

It is hard to believe but there are no less than 3 2011+ Mustang GT's in the 10's with bolt ons. No nitrous, no supercharger, no turbo and 100percent stock unopened longblock. What is crazy is that 2 of them are M6 manual trans cars. I think all of those cars weigh around 3200-3300lbs without driver so they arent factory weight but its still a bolt on car. Hell the AED M6 car has stock headers and CAI. The 3 cars are known as Shaun's AED car, JJ/WMS, and the biggest A-hole of all WBT. Look them up if you dont believe me. There is plenty of info on this.

It depends on the track, the driver, and the car. I've ran 8.6 all day long with bone stock SS. This I know for a fact.

Oh, well with weight reduction sure. Doesn't really count in my book, though.
