I'll be doing my install this weekend. I got the CAI kit and the washer relocation kit. Does it help to do one before the other, or does it matter? If so, which should I do first?

Thanks,

Geno

I think you'll find it easier if you do both at the same time. If not, you'll have to remove most of the CAI to get to the washer bottle. I know the instructions recommend to do the SC reservoir before the CAI to give you access to the hoses you have to modify.

I didn't see this post, so you may already be done. The air intake can go in at any time, but it is a little easier to line up the lower stud of the W/W reservoir if no air intake is in the way. However, if you plan to add the Big Gulp, it would be easiest to wait on the W/W relocation install until you have the Big Gulp so you can do both while you have the wheel and inner fender liner removed.

Thanks. I haven't done it yet because I just finally got my car Friday. I hope to do it Saturday. I wonder how hard it would be for you guys to generate a set of instructions for installing the CAI and the washer relocation kit together? I would think a lot of folks would be doing these at the same time. It might even motivate people to get both. They're a natural together.

Like I said, most smog shops will never or has ever looked at a ZL1, so they won't know if the CAI was stock or not.

I have been looking fo one other ZL1 around here in San Diego, I have had mine for 3 months and never saw one other ZL1 yet.
Your not looking hard enough I'm in sd 2/3 times a month I purchased both cars from JJ chevy in Kearny Mesa they have sold six zl1 since April 2012 5 of them are based in SD

Received my Roto Fab cai yesterday!! Inspected the parts and read the instructions. I was very impressed with the quality and the detail. My 14.5 year old daughter could do the install. And yes she is helping me install it tonight. She is totally into Camaro's and drove my 2010 RS/SS 6spd very well. She loves the new ZL1 almost as much as I do. Looking forward to the install this evening! And thanks again Jen for the awesome service you provided. Take pride in what you do because you are very good at it!

Who told you they sold six ZL1s, maybe the same guy from JJ Chevy that told
me the Camaro would never ever have a NAV in it in 2013? I was on a list with them and ended up getting my car by ordering it in OC. They call me each time they get one. I remember the Ashton Grey one they had. I am taking my car to them to get the new SW for the Mylink.
Still have not seen one other ZL1 here, I know one red one was sold to a person in Ramona and my wife saw one in San Marcos. I am driving all over and mostly La Jolla for work.

Skylane - I was on a list at JJ Chevy too and dropped off when they told me I had to pay a $25,000 mark-up. I stopped in to see the Ashen Grey one they had in May 2012, and took some pictures since it was my first time seeing the car in person. I am sure we will run into each other some time on the San Diego roads. I have only seen two ZL1's in north county and black and red one. I bought my car through Quality Chevy after a riduculous mess through another dealer.

Typo, $10,000 then it was $5000

The gray one was a 12, I wanted the NAV and V red.
