I have a 2010 camaro l99 and was wondering what was a resonator delete and would it make my car louder ? Any body know the price on getting them removed ?

I have the LS3 and removing the resonators didn't increase volume that much. Going to high flow cats really increased the volume and performance. Since you have the L99, while searching, try AFM and Drone.

Getting rid of the resonator will increase sound significantly. It's purpose is basically to hide the AFM noise. I would bet that there is some flow increase by replacing with an x pipe as well.

Do a muffler delete and remove the resonator. A lot of ppl on here did muffler delete and complained about the sound. They did not remove the resonator. Mine is a Frankenstein exhaust now. From cat back it has magnaflow with x-pipe. No resonator and muffler delete with center exhaust. Amazingly it sounds good...

Deleted my L99 resonator and replaced it with a TrueX X pipe. It did change the tone a little but didn't make it much louder. You do lose 15lbs or so by deleting it so that's almost reason enough to do it. One thing to remember is that you really NEED to put a crossover back in it's place. Be it a X or H pipe doesn't make a whole lot of difference but there needs to be a crossover or you'll lose HP/tq.
