6L80E Issues

So I have been having a few issues with my car. The car will not make the 2-3 shift. Below I will list the triggers that are known to me.

- 75% + Throttle
- Sport Mode or Manual Mode

If I am in Drive mode, this will not happen which leads me to believe this is nothing mechanical.
My tuner has copied the X table (drive mode), and pasted it into the Y and Z (Sport mode and TapShift Mode), thus making it to where all is the same as far as tables go. It still doesnt make the shift. We tried ramping up line pressure and it didnt want to make the shift.

I'm looking for a little bit of direction here. Obviously I do not want to drop the transmission if it is going to be a tune issue. My tuner is working directly with HP Tuners to see what the issue might be. My tuner tunes a lot of 6L80's and this is the first time that he has ever seen this issue.

Thank you all for your comments.

Without know all the details of your build it will be hard to put a finger on the problem.

You could have a Corrupted TCM

You could have an Engine tune that alters the torque reporting screwing the the TCM

You could have a Bad Valve body or TCM.

Dropping the pan will either confirm or deny a mechanical problem like burned clutches or seals.

Ted,

This only occurs when the car is in sport mode or tapshift mode. In drive mode the car operates fine. Is there a difference mechanically between the Drive mode and the other two modes?
My car revs to 6800 rpms also, I thought I read somewhere that these transmissions shouldnt be shifting over 6500. Is this detrimental to the life of the transmission?

My build is as follows:

-Ed Curtis Custom Grind Cam
-Milled Heads
-CAI Intake
-Ported Throttle Body
-Ported Intake
-DOD Delete
-Circle D 3000 Multi Disc
-Trans Cooler

My last dyno showed 434 rwhp and 397 rwtq.

Pretty Basic build.

We shift our cars at 6600 to 7200 with no issues.

The shifter is in a different location for sport and Paddle mode VS Drive mode which moves a manual valve.

Ted.

Ted.
Interesting. Would/Could that one valve cause this issue? Thank you Ted for the direction.
