From the photo it looks like the shelter is just sitting on the ground. I assume it's anchored down some way so the wind doesn't blow it around?

Yeah, it drilled/nailed down with 6" tapcon nailes. 2 in each post. I hope it's good enough.

There is supposed to be high wind warning tonight, it should be a decent test.

But it's really a tight fit. The mirrors half less then an inch clearance when I park it.
