Because it can be done. Think about the stock Camaro.... How much of THAT style is actually necessary in a car? Almost zero. The question is a good one, but whenever it comes to style, there never needs to be a reason.

A great example is Nathan, almost nothing he has done is necessary! Is it however absolutely beautiful?

It was very black magic! It involved a car lift, a fork lift and some ingenuity...I didn't have the nerves to stick around and watch! However, after 8mo. of patiently waiting, there was no way I'd miss it when she came off the frame table!

I'm simplifying it, but basically, car jacks were used to move the frame with my SS on it to an area near the door. Then a flatbed tow truck backed up to the frame table. The car was very carefully transferred from frame table to the flatbed. Then from flatbed safely to the ground! I took video of the entire process but it's over 10min long so here are the highlights:

You are bang on correct. Outside of required repair and maintenance, nothing NEEDS to be done. Everything else is gravy.

And yes, Nathan has created something he should be very proud of! It was a pile of work (and still is) but he is realizing his vision. I like it!
