my 2007 Shelby was really responsive to the full borla exhaust i put on it. Bone Stock the car was cranking out around 447-450 depending on the temp. The exhaust was a great addition and the car responded really well the 5.4 V8 is a very very impressive engine. Shit I even get 20 MPG hwy!

Hey what are the Nurburgring lap times for the GT500? That will tell just how good the entire package is. For what these puppies sell for it better be more than a "one trick pony". This is a true test of a cars capabilities.

We know the lap times for the vette and Camaro. I'd sure hope it could lap in under 8 minutes.

Show me the lap time's????

You must be a Tenn. Vol fan.I don't hear you mentioning a Z06 or a ZR1. Most of us want or have the new Camaro because we love them.If we wanted a square box that runs fast we would be ordering Mustangs. And then we could all be chatting on a Ford forum.

Sure, we can teach you about the GT500, which is priced in the mid $40's. The new GT500 gets 40 more ponies and firmer tuned suspension (basically the Ford Racing Intake, Tune, and Suspension) from the factory, and will be priced in the high $40's. Look out CTS-V!

you're kidding me, the new M3 beats the turbo porsche? wow, way cool!!
Question for all you 07 - 09 shelby owners....have you had any problems with your clutch/trans?? I am dealing on a brand new '09 sitting on the lot, but I am leary due to the problems on the shelby's with build dates before Sept 08....TSB-08-16-4 details replacing the clutch assembly, new design flywheel and new input shaft with Synchro's. Unfortunately the Shelby I'm looking at is an early 09 build, so it has the older design flywheel......the price is almost to good to pass up

IF you buy an '09 built during or after Sept '08, you will get the newly engineered flywheel and clutch. Mine was a October '08 build, and the clutch and shifter are smooth like butta. I would keep looking for a late build, I paid verrry low fortie$ for mine brand new. Sticker was $49k.

One idea, will they do the TSB as part of the Prep for purchase? Good luck.

I have an '07 and have had none of the TSB issues other have reported. I have 30K miles on the car as of today.

Live rear axle must not be to much of a problem. Still decent times for the GT500.

I asked that exact question, but (and I expected it) they will not apply the TSB if the car doesnt exhibit symptoms.
Maybe ordering a 2010 is the way to go....

2010 is sweet, but I see even better things coming in '11 and '12. I saved a ton of cash on the '09, so I can very easily move up later if I want. Can you import cars to Canada?
