WRONG!! The Ground is the Frame, Your tires are Rubber, Car does not DOES NOT connect to Earth. Check your display for Batt. Voltage and see what that reads, if it reads 12V or better, chances are it's not the Batt.

Like others have said, it could be a weak battery. The clicking noise may be the starter, but could also be the starter relay.

Since you said you already tried to jump start the car, I would probably rule out the battery. It could also be the security system that is preventing the car from starting. Make sure the car is in park, the doors shut, turn the key to on position, and roll the window down/up as indicated on the dash display until the wanring goes away. Then, turn off the ignition, and then back on and try starting the car.

I'm still waiting to see if he checked the connections and checked the voltage. Best place to start.

Sometimes clicking can be from a loose battery cable. Flux Capacitor is from the movie Back to the Future, the olden days before cell phone era.

For all the younger whipper snappers. Just remember you have to be going 88mph and reach 1.21 Gigawatts for full power of the flux capacitor.
