There is a Performance Parts-approved kit, created by Thomson Automotive, to convert the LS7 to wet-sump, thereby avoiding packaging problems.
$4,000 difference (over 1LE) is a fond wish, unfortunately. With 6-piston front Brembos, consider $10K as your "opening bid". |

Pete, I ran across this and thought I'd get your opinion on it... Just giving you something to do while we wait for the C7. http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main...products_id=13 also particularly useful: http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main...products_id=10

Ok, my predictions for tonight.
Keep in mind, I NEVER saw the car so I am as excited as the rest of you guys. Internally, Corvette has always been the most buttoned up program with the fewest leaks of factua information. I predict tonight will be a visual extravaganza. We will see exactly what we've been waiting for and we will know how good or bad the renderings were and how much the camo covered up. If we are lucky they will share a lot of what the car was designed to do and designed to do better than the C6......................but without confirmation via performance numbers. What we won't see ( or hear ) are the numbers. I predict we will NOT get a HP number, we will not get a FE number and we won't get 0 - 60, 1/4 mile or lap times. We may get a generality. i.e. 0 - 60 in less than x.x seconds or FE in excess of xx mpg. That being said, I hope I am wrong and we get every tid bit we want for our discussing pleasure.

If we do get more it will be due to the fact that the numbers will be very very good.

I have to think this version will be well worth the wait!
And, with the next-Gen Viper now released, "we're not done yet" will surely apply to the C7... Last edited by LOWDOWN; 01-13-2013 at 03:02 PM. |

Once upon a time, there was a group named "The Steve Miller Band", who featured a guitarist/singer who went on to a solo career. Always surrounding himself with great musical talent, including the Muscle Shoals Rythem Section and Duane Allman (to name a few), he scored some modest success and has gathered a cult-like following, culminating in a live recording in a small club in SanFran in '03...
Before there was a Boss, there was a BOZ...Boz Scaggs. The first track has a familar name... The second, and subsequent, tracks feature two angels' voices as back-up singers, especially as part of each finale. One of the great live recordings ever, imvho. Cuddle up with someone special, and enjoy... More on YouTube |

Edit: Reading over your post again, I now see that you were only talking about Boz and not Steve Miller. AFAIK, the only album Duane worked with Boz was the one with the song I mentioned, I really liked that tune much more than his later disco oriented stuff. OK, I like it. The side shot looks much more Italian along with the narrowed rear glass which enhances the wider rear of the car. Not sure how they'll change the body of the ZR1, Z06 & GS as this one is already awesomely extreme. However it does need a front spoiler.

I was really hoping to not want one as bad as I now seem to.
The interior is as good as what I know they were trying for. Notice the HP is "estimated", the torque is "estimated" the 0 -60 of 4 seconds is "estimated" and the FE is "better than the 26 mp of the current car. That is my way of saying, "I told you so" ![]() Keep in mind these are photos. This is one of those cars that I think will look even better in person, especially. Kudos to Tadge Juechter and the guys who pulled this masterpiece off.

![]() BTW, the "he" mentioned in my earlier post was Boz...not Steve Miller or his Band. |
