Can you elaborate on what the ZL1 constraint means? I ordered my car back at the beginning of December but the dealer did not have an allocation. As of now they still don't. My order # is qsqkqh. Should I try to find one somewhere else or keep waiting? Thanks!

Let's see if I can have this make sense:

Previously a dealer was given a "production guide" # that told us
how many ZL1's we could expect for the first half of production from
7/12-12/12. If the dealers guide # was 2 for example, sometime
during that period 7/12 - 12/12 the allocation would come up and
the dealer could place an order against it.

Now, there is no production guide for this second half - at least
not yet. Instead, it looks like they are going to accept orders on
a limited basis. Just like the 1LE package or the Hot Wheel pkg,
they will only accept so many orders for the ZL1 in a week. This
weeks # is 85. That means there are 85 places available for
ZL1 orders for 5000 dealers across the country. It actually gives
you a better opportunity to get your order moved into the system.
If your dealer understands the way the system operates, they will
ask for your order to be accepted. It may or may not depending
on a whole bunch of facts that are too difficult to understand
outside the business.
