However, I've performed a number of tests to prove my previous findings. For example: You have only 1 album on the iPod with say ... 10 songs. If 3 of those songs exceed a certain title length, only 7 will show up when the album is selected. Adjust the title lengths on those 3 songs, and all 10 songs will show up. I hope you get your issues sorted out Markbot. One thing a lot of people end up doing, (including myself) is buying a USB flash drive and sticking all the music on one of those. They're really inexpensive and work well on the older Camaro head unit. I'm sure they work just as well with the new My Link head unit.
The reason why I use a flash drive was because my Zune would end up draining itself if I didn't power it off, and it was a little glitchy. The nice thing about a flash drive is you can leave it in your Camaro without worrying about it, it takes up zero space, and will almost always be reliable. It takes about 30 seconds or so to index when I fire up my car, but after it's done doing a quick index, I can browse it like normal. Mileage will vary with quality of flash drive.

The issue that I was experiencing is solely caused by periods within song titles. I was initially convinced that the length of song titles contributed to songs going missing in MyLink. However, it just so happens that the longest song titles often contain periods. For example: "Battle Hymn (feat. Apathy, King Syze, Crypt the Warchild, Jus Allah, Esoteric, Blacastan, Celph Titled & Planetary)" That song title is massive due to the list of featured artists within the title. The period after "feat" causes the song to disappear from its respective album. Removing that period causes the song to reappear. I had initially assumed that the length of the song was the cause, but I tested simply removing the period, and it resolved the issue just the same. I subsequently went through all of the songs on my iPod and removed all periods that occurred within song titles, and now my issue is entirely gone. All songs are present within their respective albums in MyLink. On a side note, exceeding the 10,000 song indexing limit will also cause songs to disappear, but that is separate from the issue that I experienced. |

Sounds like Mygig but that would be about right since they both run QNX - I have concluded that it is treating everything after the period as a dot extension format. Good work and now that solved a mystery I tried it on the Mygig as well after reading this and your theory solved that for me on both the GM and Dodge. Thanks |

I'm having the same issue and I don't have 10,000 songs, and the titles don't have punctuation in them
