transmisson/clutch noise - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

got a question. 2010 2ss/rs m6. when taking off in first gear there is a clunk,clunk,clunk, sound can't tell if it's trans,or clutch. any ideas? i do have remainder of fac. warr. till april. car had 1900 mi. when bought, has 6000 now. has done it from the start. this is the only time it makes this noise the sound stops after 10 mi an hour, give or take. called first dealer they say it's normal for straight cut gear in first. second dealer says not normal bring it in?

Not normal when taking off, take it in while still under warranty.

Let us know what they determine.
Mine does it, too. More noticeable when fully warmed up and in city stop and go traffic.

I would bring it to the second dealership to see if they can diagnose anything for you. Please let us know the results.
