This might be a bit of a hijack but how do you paint the letters on it? I'm sure it's simple and all but I'm unfamiliar with paint. Just got mine installed today, looking to paint the letters white. (Black shifter)

Here is mine. Not really hard to install. You just have to monkey around with it to get the set screw to hit the right spot and tightness. I also got some Aqua Blue Metallic touch up paint and painted the lettering grooves. Put it on and wiped off the excess before it drys. Did it 3 times, and it came out pretty good.

I want to but one of these but can't decide between the chrome knob or they also have a polished knob for 30 bucks less.. I don't want to bling out my car to much, not really into that, so i'm leaning torwards the polished, I just hope I don't regret it, any insight to my dilemna??

Also can you provide me with the steps you took on how to prep for the painting you did?? Thanks....

Not much prep. Just made sure it was clean. Purchased a bottle of GM touch-up paint. Come with a ballpoint pen tip on one end and a small brush on the other. Tried the ballpoint pen tip 1st. Did not work so good. Tip was too large. Used the brush 2nd time. Worked better. Wiped off the excess immediately with a slightly wet paper towel. Repeat 2nd step again. Done

I just installed mine yesteday. I had the same problem CFD had. The exterior looks awesome, the craftsmanship on the inside of it was subpar.
