I'm a 65 year-old goofy old fart, retired software developer, Viet Nam era US Army veteran, currently part-time website developer/administrator, freelance photographer and finally, salt flats racer.

My 2010 2SSRS was my retirement gift to myself. It's the 47th car I've owned and my 6th Camaro. It's also kind of a tossup as to whether it's the best Camaro I've owned; my 67 RS/SS with Vortec 355, Tremec 3550, 12-bolt, 3.73 posi is close, although it's comparing apples and oranges and I'll give the 2SSRS up when ya pry it from my cold, dead hands.

With the lousy weather we've had here in the high desert, I've only put a little over 100 miles on it since I bought it. I hope the snow/ice goes away soon so I can really enjoy (and start modifying) it. I'm planning to take it to the 11th Annual Rat Fink Reunion (I've been to all the others except the first) and have Greg 'Coop' Cooper pinstripe the hell out of it. Then I plan to race it on the salt in September.

I may be old, but I refuse to grow up.

i just started my new full-time job today at a volvo

dealership.

volvos are actually pretty nice cars. those turbo'd 5 and 6 cylinder engines really move. i still prefer camaros though
