I have absolutely had it.

I again am plagued with problems with my camaro. It is losing oil like crazy. No leaks, no smoke, and not in the radiator. Must be valves or piston rings. I have added catch can and breather and did not fix the consumption issue. I lost 5 quarts in 3600 miles, 1 quart in 1200 miles. And then 3 quarts in 1600 miles. I changed my oil last week and have driven 360 miles and it is not on the dipstick. To make matters worse I just noticed a 7 inch crack in the windshield down low in front of passenger.

This is the first car I bought on my own and my first new car and I am not having a good experience. Here are my issues so far after 72000 miles.
16000 miles: bad pressure plate, broken pressure plate springs, bad shift actuators, leaking slave cylinder
Took 40 days to get fixed and did lemon law. GM settled out of court by a cash offer.
After picking car up after 40 days I got the car home and saw leaking fluid and weird noise coming from under car. Turned out to be bad drive shaft and leaking coolant line

Couple thousand miles later. Blown engine!!
Now 50 thousand miles later my car is burning oil somewhere..

I agree that your initial problems do sound like you got a bad Camaro, and GM stood behind it to some degree. An engine failure would probably turn me away from Chevrolet for years.

Now your sig says tune, camshaft, longtubes, HF cats and exhaust work and you want GM to stand behind your experiment in engine performance development? I consider that unreasonable, you mod it, you own it.

This... Wether it is flashed back to stock or not will not matter, the ECU will show the history of tunes and flash. I believe you that many of your issues are more related to your engine than your mods, but by doing mods, you give GM a reasonable argument to not cover you under warranty.

I do wish you luck however.

If gm settled out of court with cash offer did this make up for problems with car or not?

I do not have cam shafts. The items I have are just flow mods, headers intake and spacer. None of this would cause this issue. I do not have any internal mods. Since when does exhaust and i take mods cause you to burn oil

Not the responses I expected from C5.

Apparently the ghost tune actually works and isn't detectable by gm.

There is a lot of discussion about it but I haven't seen anyone say that they got rejected.

I'm going to go ahead and suggest that the cam is enough to reject any warrantied work. Forget the tune.

There is no cam. The "Ghost Cam" is from the variable valve tuning and can only be done on the v6.

Check out some youtube videos of it.

All in all its a tune not an actual cam.

I'm sorry to hear you have had so much trouble with your car. What makes you think it doesn't have a flash counter?

Its been proven only the V8 has it. It has been discussed a lot.
