Burnout question

I've seen where guys do burnouts and the front of the car stays still for a bit and then moves. How is this done.....especially with a manual car?

Line loc. push a button and the front tires lock up.

Could heal/toe the brake, too... Or just move the clutch foot quickly to the brakes...

So if you are burning out the rear wheels while applying the brake, what is happeninig to your rear brakes? Are they just frying?

A short burnout is no different than braking hard from 60-0

when doing a burnout you can take a little pressure off of the brake pedal once the tires start spinning as the rear brakes release first. Rear brakes are the initial hit of the brake pedal to help control front end dive.

Tried the brake-while-gassing thing with my 2011 SS Auto. All four brakes would hold.
While only having 400 miles on my '13 ZL1 Auto I haven't really released the beast. However, I have done a couple of "small" launches with the traction control stuff turnedoff, and not using brakes. The tires easily break loose (big time) and the rearend sways sideways. Can't wait to get 1500 miles on the car!

Isn't it also a bit throttle control? You start at 1/2 pedal and gently go to WOT.
