California Camaro owners! Good News!

Today I got off the phone with an STS turbo salesman and he told me their turbo system will be getting a C.A.R.B sticker later this year. This will make the turbo system legal in Cali!

The problem is that the STS kit has already pretty much been proven to be pretty bad.

I own a STS Single Turbo kit and wish I had never of bought it. I have been plagued with 3 turbo failures, 2 oil scavenge pump failures and constant oiling issues.

Don't let the CARB approval sell you or anyone on the STS's kit! Save yourself thousands in repairs costs and a lot of time, I mean A LOT OF TIME and go with another FI company.

I am not here to bash but if I can save/help someone that is even thinking about purchasing the kit then I have done my civic Camaro5 duty!

Yes, the kit is that bad. I have no issue airing my dirty laundy about the STS kit. Take a look around the forums, not even a peep from other folks with the kit. Why... because all of them are having similiar issues. Also google "STS problems' and all sorts of issues are spelled out through numerous forums, Corvettes, Trucks and the import bubbas.

Sometimes lessons are learned the hard way and I really wish I would have done more detailed research before I pulled the trigger on the kit. I'll have a build thread up in a month or two documenting all the issues. Again just trying to pass the word and I am not affiliated with any companies. Just providing some very candid feedback.

This is what make the forums strong great personal feedback. No longer can you put a product out without it biting you on the @@& if it isnt ready based on reviews.

I may opt to put on a system of my choice and just take it out every 2 years when smog rolls around.
