Are the 1LE brakes worth the upgrade.

so does any one know the difference if any with the 1 LE and the SS?

I was under the impression that they were the same. I could be wrong ? Let me call my buddy at the dealership and see what he says.

They are the same as the SS aside from the color.

Red makes things faster. Get ctsv brakes, its a bargain if you buy everything yourself.

The wheel bearings are different but the rotors and calipers are still the same. There are no performance advantages changing to the 1LE brakes. The CTS-V Conversion is the way to go if you're looking to upgrade. Let me know if you have any questions.

Jordon - if you can provide your input I'd appreciate it - will the 1LE rotors/calipers fit on a 2010 2LT RS Spindle without issue or is the 1LE spindle/bearings connection different and would make an upgrade on my V6 an issue?

I don't want to assume that the 1LE rotors/calipers are the same as the SS there isn't a mounting change for the 1LE spindle.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Tried to pm you but you're always a popular guy and your pm limit is currently maxed out...

I'm curious as well, but I already have a set on the way. I would assume it is the same, just the internals of the spindle/bearings are better, yet the connection points for bolting up wouldn't have changed. Fingers crossed.

As has already been stated, they're the same as SS brakes except for color.

Understood - question was on the spindle/bearing as the 1LE has an "HD" spindle/bearing so want to be sure the rotor/caliper will mount to a stick V6 spindle.
