My friends thinks its comical, then I say it will make it go faster. They usally say by all means put it on there. My dad is skeptical at first but then he ends up liking the mods, my mother hates them, and I have no wife/girlfriend so I'm good there. My modding addiction has mixed reception.

For you guys with no car friends you should have a look at a Camaro Club. I joined C5G recently and everyone there has been real nice, I can't wait to meet them.

Another cool thing is you meet some top notch vendors as well, most of which are endorsed by the clubs so it's worth it plus all the cool Camaro activities you get to be a part of and a large majorty of club members post here at Camaro5 so chances are you already know people.

Look into it.

We just had our "Support Group" Mod & Maintenance Day last weekend! We keep feeding each other's ideas and working on group buys.

I've been modding cars for over 35 years. Its just part of me. My wife understands. I'm at a point in my life where I can do what I want (Retired military, working on a second retirement, grown kids). At least I'm not chasing 20 year old girls around the college campus!

Most of my mods, appearance or performance, are subtle, but functional. Most folks don't even notice them until I point them out. I don't want the car to say "trashed ricer" when it comes time to part with it.

As far as the wife knows, everything I buy for it is $99. Its a running joke with our Camaro Club. I started off with Loudmouth II axle-backs. When the wife complained about the drone, I told her there was a part I could buy that would get rid of it. A week later the UPS driver pulls up with 2 big boxes of Solo Performance cat-backs (I didn't lie to her). She's been happy with the sound ever since.

My family says, "just drive the damn thing," and my friends say Im a p***y if I dont mod. Thats why the car is heavily modded.

I agree. But my wife is hard to slip anything by. She doesn't understand why a realatively new car needs parts when there is nothing wrong with it..

They all like it but if anyone says anything I ask them why they spend so much on cigs, booze and gambling. And it shuts them right up.
