I have a question I am sure you can answer with your wealth of knowledge. Does my RS run in the same class as an SS? Currently my only mod is a CAI. And one more: A month from now I will have a tune and a ported throttle body. Does that change my class? The classes are not as straight forward as I thought it would be..

The RS package wont change anything. Your other mods will bump you out of a stock class and move you up to a street prepared class, but most wont care if you run in the stock class with those simple mods, unless you start winning.

The RS is a cosmetic package and doesn't change your class at all. The stock SS Camaros including the 1LE can run in FS or F-Stock while the stock V6 Camaros run in the G-Stock or GS class.

I believe the ZL1 will have to run in some other category.

Is this at the McAfee Coliseum? I couldn't find it on the calendar. What time is the morning run?

Yes, here's the link. http://www.sfrscca.org/content/view/4555/32/

BAAUTOX.com has all of the local info and you can click on the top for SCCA and American Auto-X Series event information. The event on Sunday requires membership to SCCA, they do sell weekend memberships for something like $25. The four runs that we should get in the morning run $35. I just pay the annual membership fees since it's supporting a great cause. The Annual membership fee is something like $140 if I remember correctly.

Drivers meeting at 8:30 and racing starts at 9. Get there at 7:30 for those that want to race or walk the course.

I'm driving run group 1 and working run group 2.

Steve

Have you ever wanted to drive an exotic car, other than your camaro that is?

Check out the insurance rates, not too bad compared to what it will cost you per lap.
